ADAC
The ADAC has always pursued the goal of providing its members and users with added value beyond its existing services. In light of the increasing digital transformation in healthcare, the ADAC decided to expand its Medical App and integrate a comprehensive pharmacy service. To achieve this, the ADAC launched a tender to find technology partners capable of providing the necessary technical infrastructure. The aim was to develop a seamless and user-friendly solution that enables users to order medications directly through the app and access pharmacy services digitally.
Summary
As SB-Entwicklung, we developed an SDK that enabled the integration of the IhreApotheken.de infrastructure—the digital home of local pharmacies—into the ADAC Medical App. Thanks to our technology, users can now access a network of over 7,000 local pharmacies through the ADAC Medical App.
With just a few clicks, users can order medications and over-the-counter products online from their preferred pharmacy. Prescription medications and e-prescriptions can also be redeemed digitally without hassle. Delivery is either made directly to the user’s home via a courier service or can be picked up the same day at the selected pharmacy.
The development of the SDK by SBE not only helped ADAC expand its healthcare services digitally but also laid the foundation for future app integrations. For potential clients, this project demonstrates how efficiently and future-proof an SDK implementation can digitalize existing services and provide real added value to users.
